Call for Art!
Love’s Palette: A Celebration of the LGBTQ+ Community Through Art
The SMAL is excited to showcase the artwork of LGBTQ+ identifying artists in our 2nd Annual Pride Month Exhibition, Love’s Palette, this June. Artists are encouraged to present contemporary works of any medium that celebrate the authentic viewpoints of the LGBTQ+ experience.
*If you do not identify as LGBTQ+, we respectfully ask that you consider entering one of the San Marcos Art League’s other calls for 2024.
Submission Criteria:
Artwork must not exceed 36 inches in width.
All artwork must be ready to hang with wire securely attached to the back.
All artwork must be for sale.
Only one entry per artist is allowed.
Artists are required to deliver their artwork in person to the San Marcos Art Center, no shipping
Entry Fee: $10
Note to Artists: The San Marcos Art Center will take a 20% commission for works sold at the Art Center.
Important Dates:
Call Deadline: May 31st
Work Drop Off: Sunday, June 2nd 11am-5pm
Opening Reception: Friday, June 7th 6pm-8pm
Exhibition Dates: June 5th - 30th
Work Pick Up: July 1st 11am-5pm
Liability:
The San Marcos Art League will take utmost care in handling all submitted artwork. However, artists are responsible for insuring their work against loss or damage during transportation, exhibition, and storage.
